PHOTO RESTORATION

Whether a pipe burst or the house caught fire and the photos were soaked putting the blaze out, your prized photos have probably suffered water damage. If your photos are still wet, you may be able to salvage many or all of your pictures. Water damage is one of the most common photo restoration requests we get. Whether it's humidity or a downright soaking, water damage brings us a lot of photo restoration business, however, we'd prefer to keep your family photos intact in the first place. Another common request is to restore a fading photo of a loved one to present to them as a gift. The updated images can be printed and placed in frames while the digitally updated images are archived to CD or DVD allowing easy access for future prints. And if shipping your most treasured photos is not an option and you live in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, we can even come to you and scan your original prints leaving them virtually untouched. The amount of damage a photo has suffered will determine the extent to which it needs to be restored. Minor scratching, red-eye removal and color corrections are usually a simple fix and dramatically improve the quality of the photo. Missing or severely damaged sections will need to be rebuilt and some photos may not be candidates for restoration due to excessive damage. MINOR RESTORATION Photo is in very good condition. Requires only scanning, cropping, color adjustment and a few minor repairs or enhancements such as red-eye removal, minor scratching, and blemish removal. MODERATE RESTORATION Photo is in good to poor condition. Requires scanning, cropping, color adjustment and moderate repairs or enhancements, repairs of tears, folds or holes in photo. Any damage to facial details or important area of the photo, water or mold damage, wrinkling or folding. EXTREME RESTORATION Photo is in poor to very bad condition. Requires scanning, cropping, extensive color adjustment and repairs or enhancements. Any damage to facial details or important areas of the photo, severe water or mold damage, wrinkling or folding. Sections of the photo missing or significantly damaged. Missing important detail in face or body area. Severe scratches, staining or wrinkling. COLORIZATION We can also colorize a black and white photo. Price is in addition to any applicable restoration fees and determined once the photo has been reviewed.
